July Client News

As you’d expect for a specialist food and drink PR agency, the summer season is an exceptionally busy time for our clients.  There are just so many tasty things to shout about and get our teeth into!

We have lots of exciting new clients, which we can’t shout about just yet, but we will share the details as soon as we can! Watch this space.

New client spotlight: The Guild of Fine Food

We’re super excited to be working with the Guild of Fine Food and very proud to have the opportunity to shout about the brilliant work they do to support independent producers and retailers.

As well as implementing a strategic PR campaign, we’re also managing the GFF’s press activity for their flagship events and awards. Alongside publishing an industry-leading magazine, Fine Food Digest, the GFF team is running the comprehensive Great Taste accreditation scheme with its 90 judging days and over 500 judges across Dorset and London. Plus, running the global phenomenon, that is the World Cheese Awards.

Somehow in between all that, they make it up to Harrogate each year to organise and host Fine Food Show North, which caters to over 100 exhibitors and 1,200 visitors. Plus, further events including award ceremonies and Great Taste markets, training sessions and member initiatives throughout the year.

Launching a new dining experience

We’re also thrilled to be working with Woolton Farm, home of Kentish Pip cider, in Bekesbourne Canterbury.  Last month, we launched The Saffa Bru at Woolton Farm, its purpose-built South African BBQ kitchen and menu to local media and influencers.  A collaboration between Woolton and South African chef Keaton Randall, Keaton is serving up his South African fare cooked fresh over a wood fired BBQ with a Woolton Farm twist from now until October.

On Saturday 11th June, Woolton Farm threw open the (barn) doors to celebrate with local media, influencers and the local community gathering in the fruit garden for some alfresco dining.  The sun was shining, the food and drinks were delicious, and our media guests were treated to an exclusive vineyard tour and wine tasting with managing director Sam Mount.

Summer drink spotlight: Biddenden Ice Cider

This month we’re drinking Biddenden Ice Cider 2021, as featured in this month’s Olive magazine, where it was the drink of the month. Launched in time for summer, it’s an intense, sweet, Ice Cider bursting with aromas and reflecting the best characteristics from Kentish grown Egremont Russet and Bramley apples.

With Wine and Cheese Day coming up on 25th of July, it’s the perfect excuse to pop open a bottle of this new must-have aperitif to share with friends and enjoy with cheese.

With an ABV of 9%, Biddenden Ice Cider has a high natural sugar content, concentrated aromas and enhanced acidity and tannins, achieved through freezing the pressed apple juice and following a process known as cryoconcentration. The liquor is then fermented like a sweet wine for four months before developing further in the bottle resulting in clean, fresh and fruity flavours.

Priced at £12.90 per 50cl bottle, it has a natural cork finish and is presented in an elegant “Flute” bottle.  Buy online here: https://biddendenvineyards.com/product/biddenden-ice-cider-2021/
